Why Chiropractic?

It can help with

Headaches & Migraines

Having a dramatic reduction in her headaches while under chiropractic care, is what led Dr. Stacey to become a chiropractor.

Stress, Anxiety & Poor Sleep

Many of the adults that come to me for help, state that they struggle regularly with one or more of these.  Sadly, more  and more children are struggling with these things too.

Colic & Ear Infections

Colic and ear infections are two of the most common reasons parents seek the help of a chiropractor.

Women's Health

All too often women put the needs of others before their own.  Over time, this frequently leaves them feeling burnt out, exhausted and disconnected from themselves, their families and their community.

Breech Baby

Breech presentations are frequently the result of an imbalance in the pelvis as well as the supporting muscles and ligaments.

Low Back Pain & Sciatica

About 80% of adults will experience low back pain at some point in their lives.  It is the most common cause of job-related disability and it is a leading contributor to missed work days.

General Care
Babies & Kids

"I found Dr. Stacey searching google for chiropractors in the Portland area skilled in the "Webster Technique"--a practice known to help breech babies. I was getting a bit nervous because the time window was closing for my baby to move. I began seeing Dr. Stacey around 35 weeks pregnant when something like 95% of babies have gotten head-down (and 1-3% of those stay breech).

So, it was a great relief to be seen right away and I was impressed with the holistic level of concern and assessment using the latest technology. Dr. Stacey explained everything and on my second appointment was able to show me a visual of my spine and sacrum and talk through problem spots. We also began adjusting to make optimal space for baby, including massaging round ligaments.

After just 5 adjustments our footling breech baby flipped at 37 weeks! Sweet relief! It's wonderful that this office offers walk-in appointments when you have an issue. Actually, I didn't exactly walk in: pubic symphysis dysfunction pain (thanks pregnancy hormones!) caused me to limp into the office, but after a simple adjustment walk out normally--on more than one occasion. Truly amazing."

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe being adjusted by a chiropractor?

Absolutely.  An adjustment given by a Doctor of Chiropractic is an incredibly safe procedure and the risk associated with it is extremely small. Chiropractic is one of the safest drug-free therapies available.

What are the benefits of seeing a chiropractor?

Babies, kids and adults can all benefit from chiropractic care.  Everything from latching issues, ear infections, colic, headaches, neck pain, digestive issues, low back pain and more have all shown improvement and often resolution with chiropractic.

Are adjustments painful?

Most people find adjustments to be comfortable and relaxing.  In the beginning, there can be some soreness associated with the adjustment.  This is similar to feeling sore after working out and is usually a non-issue after the 2nd or 3rd adjustment as your body gets used to the changes we are making.  At any point in your care, if you are still feeling uncomfortable in any way, Dr. Stacey can modify how she adjusts you to work within your comfort zone.

Do you take insurance?

We do participate with most insurances.  When you schedule your new patient appointment, we will collect your insurance information and verify your benefits.   For those without insurance, we offer a cash based program through Chiro Health, (CHUSA).  Rates with CHUSA are often similar to insurance copays or deductibles and at times can even be more cost effective than going through your insurance.
