As it was stated, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at 33 years old. Though that alone does not define who I am, it was a life changing experience for myself, my husband, family and friends. Pre-cancer, I worked myself to exhaustion striving to fulfill what I thought was success as defined by our society's demands. Don't get me wrong, I had a blast doing what I found to be fun--throwing parties!! But the gift of a cancer diagnosis at such a young age revealed to me what really was important: my health and happiness. 

 

Through alternative therapies, I was able to find relief from years of cancer treatments and surgeries. As of 2022, I am 10 years out from my diagnosis and I firmly feel that my success in that is due to the support of Chiropractic, Acupunture, Mental Health and Wellness work, Massage, and living a stress-less and happy life.

 

As I said, it does not define my life, though it is a large part of who I've become post-diagnosis. In my free time though I enjoy the simplicities of watching TV with my husband; seeing my dog defend our backyard from squirrels and falling leaves; cooking for fun and not function; harnessing my creativity through painting, crafting, and twisting champagne cork cages into tiny chairs; watching birds from my deck; watching dragonflies from my deck; watching neighbors from my deck; watching clouds from my deck; my deck; and enjoying an excellent (or not even mildly excellent) cocktail...from my deck.
