Healthy Families

Family care is for anyone looking to get to the cause of why they are having a particular symptom.  Symptoms are not a sign of dysfunction, they are a sign of protection.  Your body is talking to you and trying to get you to pay attention.  All to often we mask these symptoms with medications.  When the symptoms disappear, we tend to think we are a-ok.  Problem is, just because the symptoms are masked does not mean the cause has been fixed.

Structure Determines Function

If your left front tire was out of alignment, how would that impact the rest of the car?  Would it no longer run smoothly?  Would it pull to one side?  Would the tire wear unevenly?  All of the above, right?  Would you replace the tire without addressing the alignment issue?  You could, but it would be just a matter of time before you were back in the same boat, with the same issues.

There is a principle in engineering that states the structure determines the function.  If the structure is off, the function is off.  Chiropractic looks to the structure of the human body and works to address any limitations in its normal function via the nervous system. This involves seeing how stress is impacting the nervous system and when necessary, the extremities of the body as well.  Many people struggle with shoulder issues, carpal tunnel symptoms, knee, foot and  ankle dysfunction.  Some often think that surgery may be their only option.  Dr. Stacey and Dr. Mike can work with any extremity issues you may be struggling with as well.

Proactive vs. Reactive

Have you ever noticed that when you are feeling really run down, are not sleeping great, have been eating more sugar and processed foods, are stressed out at work, that is the time you typically come down with something?  The reason being, all of those things make your body less adaptable and weaken your immune system.  Stress is a part of life. What you want is a body that is more adaptable to that stress.  That is achieved by eating a healthy diet that is free of sugar and processed foods, exercising a minimum of 3 times per week, drinking enough water, getting a restful nights' sleep, having fulfilling work and healthy relationships, laughing often and taking care of your nervous system (the system through which everything else is interpreted), with chiropractic care.

Whether you have a specific concern and are under a lot of stress or whether you are here for maintenance, we have got you covered.  At Pine Coast, we understand that your main priority is to feel and function better and we work with you as a team to get you back on track and enjoying your life as soon as possible.
